How Russians perceive the invasion of Ukraine February 2022 through June 2022

The Public Sociology Laboratory conducted a study on Russian citizens' perceptions of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The study involved conducting hundreds of interviews to explore how citizens justified their support for the invasion, expressed dissent, or conveyed their ambiguity. The report presents an analysis of the various arguments used by citizens to gain insights into how Russians envision the future, articulate their emotions, and attempt to comprehend the war. PS Lab aims to combine public relevance, methodological rigor, and theoretical depth in research, and to move knowledge beyond academic discussions to become a part of public debate.
